Patent Cooperation Treaty Filing Positions Company for Global
Aviation Safety Integration
United States, X-Pod Tech LLC, a U.S.-based aerospace safety company founded in 2024, announced that its Safety-X-Pod® system is now protected under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), strengthening its international intellectual property position as it advances development of its ejectable passenger safety technology.
The Safety-X-Pod® system, detailed in U.S. Patent Application No. 18/375,587, introduces a modular cabin architecture designed to enclose individual passenger seats or rows within sealed, autonomous pods capable of protecting occupants during catastrophic aviation events.

pods enclosing passenger seats or rows, aligned along the central aisle within the fuselage.)
A Modular Approach to Passenger Survivability
The proposed system consists of ovoid-shaped enclosures that fully surround individual seats or rows of seats within an aircraft cabin. Each pod includes a door allowing normal boarding, service access, and cabin mobility. In the event of a catastrophic incident such as fire, collision, or structural failure, the pods are designed to seal, isolating passengers from smoke, flame, and impact forces.
The system further contemplates controlled ejection from the aircraft via rail-guided mechanisms or structural release points. Pods may incorporate integrated parachute deployment systems to mitigate descent impact and are engineered to be waterproof and buoyant in the event of water landings. A similar enclosure concept may also be configured for cockpit crews.
Engineering documentation included in the patent filing illustrates a widened base and tapered upper structure intended to enhance stability during descent and post-landing conditions.

Designed for OEM and Retrofit Integration
X-Pod Tech LLC states that the Safety-X-Pod® framework is engineered for modular integration across commercial aircraft, private aviation platforms, and potential military applications. The architecture is intended to support retrofit installations as well as original equipment manufacturer (OEM) configurations, subject to certification pathways and regulatory review.
The company indicates that the system has been designed with scalability, redundancy, and alignment with emerging safety mandates in mind as global aviation traffic continues to expand.
Over the years, the cabin environment of a modern private jet or commercial aircraft complex has only evolved into an aesthetically enclave of luxurious perfection and not passenger safety, said Mr. Bey, Director of Innovation at X-Pod Tech LLC. Safety-X-Pod® was conceived to introduce a new survivability framework into aircraft cabin design.

Market and Industry Context
With international patent positioning secured through the Patent Cooperation Treaty process, X-Pod Tech LLC aims to engage aerospace OEMs, operators, maintenance providers, and regulatory stakeholders in evaluating integration feasibility.
The aviation sector continues to experience increasing passenger volumes and evolving regulatory scrutiny around safety systems and survivability enhancements. The company views the Safety-X-Pod® as a platform technology capable of long-term scalability across multiple aviation segments.
The release is directed toward aerospace trade media, OEM decision-makers, regulatory agencies, defense stakeholders, and technical research institutions monitoring advancements in occupant protection systems.
